Blakey,I don't understand why you had to remove the National Anthem from the end of the reel. Surely it was standard play throughout the country, so why would you have to do that?

I'm afraid I can't remember the reason Bramleygal - it was a long long time ago - but I do recall that it was a real nuisance. Presumably "The Queen" was the property of the cinema and was not part of the films - the films incidentally were delivered and collected in black vans belonging to a firm called "EFT" which I think stood for "Earby Film Transport."

My excuse may be that I rarely stayed up until time for the Anthem, being in bed well before then (but not now for many years! ).
