This is driving me potty and I wonder if any fellow SL'ers can help?Driving down the M621 from Gildersome into Leeds, if you look between the two blocks of flats (Cottingley Heights?) you can see some other high rise flats in the distance, that appear to be on a hillside which looks quite wooded. The woods might be a red herring though as lots of areas of Leeds look quite tree-infested from a distance, but aren't when you're up close. They would appear to be council flats from the style, but are clearly some distance off. They're white / cream / grey in colour and are obviously somewhere on the East side of Leeds.I initially thought that they may be the flats at Halton Moor, but I don't think they are (aren't they painted blue?).I've tried lining things up on Google maps, but the resolution isn't good enough to see individual structures unless you zoom right in, then you lose perspective on where you're looking.I'm inclined to suspect it's Queensview at Seacroft, or maybe Sherburn Court at Swarcliffe but I really don't know. I don't think it's the flats at Ebor Gardens / York Road as they would be too close to town, probably. I'm also leaning against them being the Highways flats on York Road as they're in a dip and I can only see one block from the motorway.Anyone help?

No mate, it's definitely not them. The flats I can see are much further away. I'm certain they're the other side of the river. It might help if I say that you can see them from the M621 just as it comes out of the 'cutting' roughly level with the Ring factory, so you are looking across to the East of Leeds, between the flats at Cottingley. This is about where I mean (probably need to cut and paste the link)http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&sourc ... 1.17Excuse the lamp post in the most awkward place....

By my reckoning. That line you've given us brings up two sets of flats it could be in East Leeds. The first is these in Gipton on Wkebeck Valley road (I doubt it's those as there at the bottom of Gipton Gulch.http://snipurl.com/zrxauThese flats on Foundry lane are bang in line, and my money is on these. Lots of treeline around therehttp://snipurl.com/zrxg0

Hopefully this works. I've draggd a line between the flats and across leeds and I think it ends at the new (recently) office par at junction 46 of the M1. The trees I believe are mainly on the Temple Newsam Golf course
