I have just been on to the new Leeds market website www.leedsmarket.co.uk as mentioned on page 27 of today's YEP but I don't understand the site! it's certainly not yet user friendly!

This is a holding page. Somebody has bought/registered the name and is now hoping someone will come along and wish to build a website using that name. This company provides web hosting services and doubtless hopes at some point to make some dosh. There is nothing on the site to be seen. Haven't seen the YEP site so not sure why it's being promoted - could always be another YEP not quite got the facts job, unless anyone knows otherwise. . . .

The actual website is http://www.leedsmarket.com/ not .co.ukStarts with a rather menacing hurrumph and looks quite flash, but is actually another disappointment. Presumably the council's dead hand is being felt here then. For instance click on "Food and Drink" in the search area and it lists a whole TWO stalls. Click on the "Fish and Game Row" (one of the best and thriving parts of the market) and only one business is listed. Click through again and it's a series of uninspiring photos (any number of people on here could have done better) and bland write ups.Methinks that rather than promoting everything the market has to offer, this is just fancy advertising space sold to those who want to pay for it. The whole website has a very amateurish feel, almost as if it's been thrown together in someones spare room.

Love the ad for the Roast Beef dinner in Liberty's ... claims it is 'irrisistable' ...
