Take a look in the Leeds Art gallery - think they have his "Boar Lane" painting. I think his "Autumn" paintings (see the above link) are mesmerising!

Is there any reference that lists the paintings/drawings of Leeds.I believe Turner did 150! alone - here's a one from 1816 Where precisely is he stood when he paints Beeston Hill? The book Turner in Leeds (link above) gives one opinion.Heres mine from Google Street Viewhttp://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=leeds&sll=53.800651,-4.064941&sspn=26.343896,28.168945&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Leeds,+United+Kingdom&ll=53.777732,-1.554694&spn=0,0.043774&z=15&layer=c&cbll=53.777707,-1.555303&panoid=zY9XCZjGoY9LREd2etmY-g&cbp=12,48.09,,0,4.47

Don't think this is a painting Si looks more like a photograph run through a photoshop pxelation filter still good though. It is a painting, but I know what you mean!Although obviously worked from a photo, I love the way Walton has stripped it down to the essentials, enhancing the atmosphere of the scene. If you click on the image to enlarge it, the brush-strokes on the canvas can be seen.Stuart Walton is perhaps better known for his pencil drawings of Leeds' terraced hosing. I'll see if I can find one on Google.
