there are 10 types of people in the world. Those that understand ternary, those that don't and those that think this a joke about the binary system.

I have done some quite extensive work into this area as it intrigues me as to how it has changed so much since the interchage was built. All my modern pics are at home but found this one on.... Leodis.Would LOVE someone to have some old Pics of the Golden Cross pub that was on the corner opposite this. Leodis don't seem to have any at all, or indeed any pictures of the interchange itself from before the changes......

Bah ! another quick one - 10 points to LS1. I too would love to see a pic of the Golden Cross - the only pic I can find on Leodis just show a tiny part of it.

Drapesy, it has always puzzled me as to how the streets were set up round here. My grandpa (who is now 93) remembers the area well, and in fact lived on Ormonde Terrace, and worked on Rockingham Street. If you look on Leodis and find the pics of Millwright street, then cross reference these to the maps of the area just before redevelopment just doesnt seem to tie up. Someone out there must have a pic of it somewhere.....

I wanted to post a pic of this one, but they've painted the features of the clock green (I think the company in there is called "Greens" or something - see what they did there), and I thought it might be a bit too obvious - wonderful building though... Don't know if Im missing the point here but which clock are you refering to? The hands are green on this one, but the company that had it until recently was an Internet Service Provider. Do you mean on the picture that they are green?Aparently on a more sinister note Peter Sutcliffe used to frequent the "Room at the Top" club that was here, and I was told that he attacked a victim nearby.
