That's interesting - not heard anything about that and the Leeds Brewery publicity machine is normally very good in that respect. That makes quite a few pubs they own within a stones throw of City Square.

I went into the West Riding this afternoon.it is now back to being called "West Riding" and has Leeds Brewery "Leeds Pale" and "Leeds Best" on but no "midnight bell",better than when it was BAR WORK.

He said that it would not be given a licence again just to be a plain pub, due to what had gone on there before it closed ??
There's nothing like keeping the past alive - it makes us relieved to reflect that any bad times have gone, and happy to relive all the joyful and fascinating experiences of our own and other folks' earlier days.

I heard it wouldnt get a licence again as well due to all that went on there, but on the side of it it a sign that says could you run this pub, so i'm not sure whats going to happen to it now

It hasn't for a while actually, perhaps Leeds Brewery thinking of taking of Tetley's Dark Mild?!!They stopped selling Midnight Bell in a bottle, I hope the cask comes back soon though

Buck (White Hart) in Woddlesford still boarded up rather than the Indian Restaurant as was mooted.

Many thanks for that valuable advice sturtterdog, which I will heed carefully, although I understand there's little danger for the likes of me as the Metro Senior Permit promising free rides anywhere in the Country is not accepted on that particular route - oooops, sorry Vicar, didn't see you there !!      Reminds me, that when We were on Holiday in Sussex(!)last year,we were in Sister in law's car when I noticed a new Roadsign saying "WARNING! HUMPS FOR THE NEXT 300YDS!"Without thinking, I said "OH! have they made your Roada Redlight District? STONEY SILENCE from S.I.L!

For Sale circa £300,000 with Fleurets Must have fallen through then. It's a big pub. £300k would be alright if it was a free house but I bet it's tied to some stupid contract. Los of parking, I can see why a resaturant would want it.Be nice if a Crown Carvery got it, £3.59 a playe, very nice.
