Probably veering into 'things you don;t see anymore' here but i'm hoping someone knows a sneaky little secret or something I've got an old Advance Audio Frequency Generator that needs repair, going back even to the late 90s there was a nice little shop on Hyde Park corner would sort out stuff like this, but no more. Teleservicecentre (it was always one word) is long gone too, in fact the only repair place in know in Leeds period now is the one going up towards the White Rose Centre... which might be an option, but i'm not sure they'll have a clue about something like this, and it's a two bus/most of the afternoon run up there to find out.I don;t suppose anyone knows a little old electrician tucked away somewhere? The sad thing is i have a next door neighbour this would have been a doddle for once, i think trained by the army as an electrician post war, but he's not so well these days and i'd not let him near it if he was up for it Um, here's a pic of it too, since a lot of people around here seem to like old stuff

Unfortunately fault finding on valve gear frequently used to involve swapping valves for known good specimens, 'til it started to work. Unfortunately Maplins nowadays does more business selling R/C toy plastic helicopters, although the ex M&B man may be able to help.
We wanted to make Leeds a better place for the future - but we're losing it. The tide is going out beneath our feet.

Alternatively and not recomended due to the probable excruiating dicomfort from a 'good'valve, would be a wet finger on the anode of each. Next suspects maybe the thermistors or an open heater rectifier, anything else like a burnt out capacitor may be ovious by inspection - always asusming it does at least power up - no fuses evident, but no surprise from that era.Interested to hear the outcome
