The thread on digging for old rubbish and Primrose Valley took me back to ……..Primrose Valley, now there’s a name I haven’t heard for 50 years or so, I used to live a the bottom of Selby Road and the Black Hills (Primrose Valley) was where we would play when we were kids. Looking at Google there is nothing left that I can remember. The children’s playground just across the railway bridge from Sutton Approach (now gone I see)The deadly tunnel under the railway that went to the Council Depot The infamous Black Hills were we were the best BMX riders in the world even before BMX were invented (I think we all had Choppers)Going down to the Signal Box and talking with the Signal Man, even pulling a few of the levers for him.Don’t seem to remember much greenery it was all slag hills but to us young kids in the early 50’s it was the Westerns or WWII whatever we were playing at.Used to go to the Cubs in a large wooden shed round from Lucy Avenue and behind St Wilfreds. My God this site jogs my old grey bits on almost every thread, thanks guysThis is how I remember the bridge from the Suttons into Primrose Valley, but there were no buildings that I can remember in the 50’s (thanks to Leodis)
Is this the end of the story ...or the beginning of a legend?

[quotenick="buffaloskinner"]The thread on digging for old rubbish and Primrose Valley took me back to ……..Primrose Valley, now there’s a name I haven’t heard for 50 years or so, I used to live a the bottom of Selby Road and the Black Hills (Primrose Valley) was where we would play when we were kids.
