Looking to the bottom of the lake (Roundhay road end)The lake is slowly filling up 6 days after it was drained. Ducks and other wildlife were back.

This is the overflow, silt trap, and sluice section the guy keeps tampering with. Note the huge boulder placed over the Penstock manhole.

Looking down the overflow.The lake would be seriously high if water ever came down here.

He was on some Radio 4 programme. I can't remember which one, but it was a genuine news item, and not a phone-in.
