I know a few of you guys like these, and I saw a poster advertising it in Hudds station. It doesn't say it ont he website I don't think, but the poster states she will be running on both engines!Pretty cool eh?http://www.retrorailtours.co.uk/rt1_delticscot.php

Hmm. Wonder if I can persuade her ladyship if she wants to go. I did get her to go behind Tornado over the S&C last October.

i went to edinburgh last year behind sir nigel gresley great trip and arrived bang on time despite being held several times for other trains to pass.

Thanks for adding the link I was just looking at the timings. I'd like to know how it will take a Deltic 1 hr 12 mins from Huddersfield-Manchester lol

No i mean it leaves Huddersfield at 06.00 a.m and gets into Manchester at 07.12. Which route is it taking lol?

I would have thought that was probably the quietest time on the line. Even the frieghts are reduced working at the weekends. Any trains would hardly be wedged with commuters for work would they? Infact there wouldn't be anyone on them at that time on a Saturday morning.
