A nice selection of evocative photographs. In some of them, it's definately "grim up north!"Nice shot of the short railway tunnel being constructed at New Pudsey Station, and the old signage at Stanningley Bottom.Love the pics of the canal at Rodley, too.

Erm,er, I've heard of this, Leo something or other isn't it?Wonder where most of the 'new' site pictures come from, doesn't take long to view them all but then, safe bet, can't easily get typos in a picture

Will give it a try when I've got five minutes, but I hope they've put more effort in that they do with the paper...

They were pushing this in Saturday's paper,As I posted earlieron the Pudsey shots,poor/lack of location info.'Borough of Pudsey'snap - 'Stanningley Road,Pudsey'Shot was Stanningley Town Street looking towards Stanningley bottom/Bradford Road.If a job's worth doing it's worth doing properly,I suspect that this is 'project managed' by a person/team of tender years who have no knowledge of how things were when these images were captured. When we look at the demise of the YEP recently, are we surprised ?If they are looking at making a profit from selling copies they will be out of luck,Leodis offers a far better service and they should sign over all their library so that it can be put to proper use.

Having looked at the site, I'm not entirely sure that someone hasn't just been given a load of digitally scanned photos, with loose descriptions and told to get them on the website. There are various collections - Seacroft 1960's being one. There are only limited details or description (if any) on the pic, just a button you can click to provide feedback. I'm not sure if they're wanting to generate discussion surrounding the pics, or are simply hoping that we're going to tell them what we're looking at?It's a good idea, but appears poorly executed. Lets hope it expands and gets a bit more effort put into it as it could be a goldmine.PS - this one brought back memories (not in the 60's I might add!):http://www2.leedstoday.net/Seacroft%201 ... %20(5).jpg
