A few mates and me like to meet up occasionally on Saturdays through the summer and visit interesting or noteworthy pubs that serve real ale.Previous trips have included places like The Adelhi, The Grove, Scabby Taps, The Victoria, etc when in Leeds.Given the concerns over how long the Garden Gate might still be open for I think we should add this to our list. It's a long while since I've been for a drink in Hunslet though - are we likely to incur any problems? The thought hadn't even crossed my mind until I was looking the pub up on the internet and there were a few choice comments about the surrounding area. I didn't think it was anything to be concerned about prior to that to be honest - anyone like to chip in with an advised opinion? It'll only be for a pint or two early / mid afternoon so I can't see any obvious reason to be worried, to be honest. Anyone know what beer is likely to be on as well?On a related note, has anyone tried out the new Ossett Brewery pub "The Hop" on Granary Wharf yet? The Ossett Brewery do some cracking beers, so that looks like another one for the list.
