The tram is approaching the river and canal bridges. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?ie=UTF ... d523f9a700

I am now having second thoughts about the location of tram 562.The views of the buildings behind the tram, do not equate with the views of Faibairns here:http://www.leodis.org/display.aspx?reso ... SPLAY=FULL

From Tramway Mel. ©"The Fairbairn building is further down then the tram. There were more buildings further up Wellington Road before you reached Wellington Bridge. In the background right at the bottom is the junction with Kirkstall Road. The vehicle coming round the corner on the right is coming out of the big building on the left.

This is from an undated street plan.Wellington Road/Kirkstall Rd. Junc. had a completely different layout than today.....hardly surprising!!The 1906 Godfrey shows Victoria Mills next to Wellington Bridge. No idea why St. Phillips church is not visible.

Here's a bird's-eye view of the same area, from Leodis. It's later than the map as the Duncombe Street area has been flattened, and a new road driven through from West Street towards Wellington Bridge.
