441 - City end of Woodhouse Moor outside the old library, now a pub. Some of the others are real teasers due to wholesale demolition in more than half a century.
There's nothing like keeping the past alive - it makes us relieved to reflect that any bad times have gone, and happy to relive all the joyful and fascinating experiences of our own and other folks' earlier days.

Attached are two pictures of West Riding Trams in Leeds. the top picture shows West Riding no 7 waiting at the top of Lower Briggate, the lower one shows West Riding no 35 passing Leeds Corporation no 298 on Duncan Street (it's the middle one)These are from Tramways of Dewsbury and Wakefield by W Pickles, to which my father in law, a former editor of the Ossett Observer contributed. Found a better picture - the bottom right is the one in Leeds.

The Doggers wrote: This really is just a guess, but 256 wouldn't be on the junction of Spen Lane and Spen Road would it? I sincerely hope not Doggers, or that would have been the derailment of all time, as there were no trams in Spen Lane Seriously though I think you may mean West Park and Spen Road as there is a flavour of that area. I'll have a local look when I get chance, but I have a feeling its maybe between King Lane and Moortown Corner.

256 St. Lane..................Moortown Corner Tramway Mel. says "Moortown Corner Street Lane. This Middleton bogie is a very rare visitor to the north of Leeds. The destination on the blind is incorrect it shows number 2 it should be 2 circular. They changed the blind at Roundhay Park Gates but in the latter years of the service it was changed at Moortown. Note the white bands around the tree relics of WW2 blackout regulations.562 Wellington Rd............ adjacent to Fairbairn's Have now enlisted the help of "Tramway Mel"
