If the Fountain does go then presumably so will thecurrent car parks opposite the hospital.Within the next few months the council are bringing ina new resident only parking scheme and restrictions on main roads.Stoney Rock Lne for instance will be mainly double yellow lines withparking on certain parts restricted to 4 hours,no return within 2 hours. The scheme takes in most of the area surrounding the whole hospital,Stanley Road,Stoney Rock,Lincoln Green road,Cherry Row, Dolly Lane,on towards StAidans church and up towardsMilan road/old Tradex. The scheme is well advanced and could be started on very soon, residentonly parking first, followed by the main road restrictions.Where IS everbody going to park ?,personally after putting up with inconsiderate people who dump their cars anywhere they like for 8/9hours for the past few years I don't give the proverbial monkeys

This scheme is badly needed, places like Granville Road,Hill street,Mushroom Street and many more have cars parked on both sides of the road,I dread the time coming when some poor soul needs a fire engine.Enough is enough. It happens - Fire Brigade attended near us recently to find a neighbour as usual felt the foot-way was his private parking spot - on top of a hydrant - they're not allowed to move the car and had to ffind the owner who once it was over, clearly embarrassed and showing a social concience, replaced his car once more over the hydrant! I'd add a description but I'd need to edit myself out
