I remember being given a coloured rubber wrist band to identify which session you were in.

You paid to go in 6d I think 3d if you were a member of Morley Amateur Swimming Club and free on Thursday nights. You got a ticket from a machine like bus conductors had. If you went in at 6-00pm you could stay in until it closed at about 7-30. There was no time limit. I'm talking about the old Morley baths on Fountain Street here which closed about 1970.http://www.leodis.net/display.aspx?reso ... 215_160715

It might have been the international pool, a bit hazy. They definitely had it in Whitley Bay pool with the high tech addition of a display board that flashed coloured lights when it was time for you to get out.
