Both Delph and beckford can go so long as we keep Snoddy! I was surprised that Beckford is considering leaving now unless it's a club cash thing or a real offer that he can't refuse. He's hopefully going to have Championship football next year anyway, so he should stay unless he really wants to hop up to the Prem a year earlier**actually, I think we'll need two years in the Championship but anyway.

Majority of fans are assuming that it's the agent that is pushing for this! He see's his cut as being a fairly decent %age. Agants are the scurge of the football world. Beckford has always thought of himself as a bit above the rest. However, imo, I think there are others that can cut it better, just not got the coverage or the games he has!

Beckford is Championship at best, he needs 6 or 7 chances to score 1 goal in league 1. I doubt many other teams will create enough chances to equal or better his goal tally for the last few seasons.

I agree with the agent sentiment, but i also think that Beckford, aged 26,who has basically come from nowhere, has a strong chance of playing in the Premiership with Newcastle next year.No im sure you'd all agree that if YOU had that chance,to play in the premier league after being a car windscreen fitter for most of your life, then you'd want it,oh and the wages to boot.I agree that hed probably struggle there, but you cant knock him for making as much as he can from his relatively late in (a sporting sense)life. My mates who go to ER often, say that he should actually score more than he has, because,as simonm says,he gets loads of chances. For the first time in a long while i have complete trust in a Leeds managers abilities,im sure Larry will sort this put,no matter if he stays or goes.

I think Beckford would be out of his depth in the Prem (as Newcastle will be sure to be next season ) Alas £££££££££££££ come into play. As I read on another forum. Let's imagine that you worked for Asda earning £30,000K a year and Sainsburys offered you £60,000K a year. What would you do ??????. The reply came I'd ring M@S and see how much they were paying. It's the way the world works.             Michael

What a close finish against Spurs tonight....................Poor old dogs scuttled off to the bedroom after the racket when Leeds were awarded and then scored from the penalty.Fancy our chances in the replay folks ??

Why not, eh?The first 20 minutes it looked like we were set for a good thrashing, but we held out and gave them a bloody good game. In fact, considering the gulf in league places between the two teams we never looked like a Third Division team, despite Spurts fielding a near enough full strength team.Lets see this form transferred to the league now, which is our only real priority this season.

I think we'll get there - I mean, Elland Road can be really intimidating with 30,000 + fans in there and if Leeds keep playing as they have been in the FA Cup (not saying anything about the league at the mo tut).BTW - if people have got Sky HD and the new software to go with it, why don't they watch ITV HD - bit of a phaff getting it but the picture is so much better - look at Digital Spy on the net for details

What a fantastic cup tie that was (again) I kept forgetting about the two division's that separate us.I must admit in the first 20 minutes i thought we were going to get flogged but then we started to liven up a bit i thought it just might go are way.Ok it was a bit scrappy in places but man, you have to give that lad beckford some credit for standing up and taking that pen as cool as ice.Casper Ankergren ....WOW lets just hope the big boys dont start come knocking for him now lol.
