Certainly do. "The Best By Miles" was the slogan - but the vehicles didn't always live up to it! Based in Stanningley. There were still a good few vehicles left last time I had a poke around that area - no, I'll re-phrase that before some bright spark picks up on it - last time I walked around there to see how things had changed, but that must be 10+ years ago. So I'm amazed to see your picture! I wonder when Miles ceased trading - surely it's not still in business?

Just looked on Google. There's a website, www.milesleeds something, so looks like they're still there. Haven't seen one of their vehicles for years, but suppose they may hire or sub-contract.

Are these parked up still at Vickersdale's Stanningley?

There's nothing like keeping the past alive - it makes us relieved to reflect that any bad times have gone, and happy to relive all the joyful and fascinating experiences of our own and other folks' earlier days.

Looking at the telephone number on the vans, these vehicles last ran before the STD Code became 0113 followed by seven numbers. As I lived away from Leeds for many years I do not know when this was.
