Pubs worth celebrating

I have a number of interesting pictures of Leeds pubs that don't really have a thread to post on - I could start a new thread for each , but then we'd have dozens of different threads. They're not Lost pubs, and they're not City Centre - but I think they're worth celebrating and preserving - and hopefully will stir some memories, and pics perhaps.I'll try to include old pics from Leodis too when I can - for 'then and now shots'. Some are thriving busy pubs with an assured future, some are hanging by a thread but all are worthy of our support. I'm a firm believer in 'use it or lose it' - if you agree please try to support your local pub, even if its just the occasional pint.

The Spring Close - this is an amazing survivor - all the houses round about have gone but its still there. Its tiny inside. Street-corner boozers like this were once ten-a-penny, now they're like gold-dust

At the risk of a probably obvious answer "on spring close" where is The Spring Close Drapesy. The area doesn't look familiar (not that many landmarks are visible) to me and I don't recognise the name either

Its just off East street- bottom of Ellerby Road - just up from where the Black Dog and Fisherman's hut were.

..and in 2007.This pub has always been one of my favourites - good food, different real ales and Hoegaarden on draught! what more could you want?. (if this doesn't earn me a pint on the house nothing will!)The lamp over the door in the first picture said "another Dutton's house" or something similar and survived into the 1980's. The pub also has some interesting Kirkstall Brewery memorabilia(labels etc) inside.
