SianiI cannot give you much help with what happened to Whitehouse Farm (or even it still there ......... but I am sure others in the vicinity can help there!) but I know where it was!Whitehouse Farm was located approximately at the junction of Spen Lane and Otley Old Road to the immediate west of Lawnswood Cemetry [at approximately OS reference SE263388] in the area now known as Lawnswood. It can be seen on the OS 1:10,560 sheets in the 1851, 1895, 1909 and 1938 sheets [see www.oldmaps.co.uk and search the coordinates 426300,438800]Judging by the plan shown here at Leodis:http://www.leodis.net/display.aspx?reso ... LAY=FULLIt must have been demolished in the early 1950s to make way for the Ireland Wood Estate

Close, Brandy. I think it's slightly further north, just below where it says Otley Old Road, and above Lutrell Crescent.

Looking at the old field lines, many of which can still be traced on GE, I think it was half way between the two of you, adjacent to Luttrell Place.

The position of the farm appears to be at the junction of spen lane and Otley Old road when superimposing the OS roads onto my trusty 1930's geographia street map. That puts it where the old cop shop, which became est est est and then Gustos is?
