All quiet in the deep end today - the pool has won round one and broken the excavtors - both machines idle with worried-looking men hovering round them

If anyone is in the area at the right time, there is a photo opportunity just waiting to be had from Park Place of the "plutonium" lightning conductor and the little greenhouse it sits on top of on the International Pool.Get your timing and the weather right and just the metalwork is lit up by the rising sun and the buildings either side of Park Place guide your eye to the centre of the shot.I noticed this last week (and didn't have my camera) and then today (when I took the camera) the sunrise has gotten a little later - and as I'm on my way to work I can't hang about!I reckon it would be about half six-ish in the morning....

Five of these great Doosan mincing machines are making progress and today started to eat the side wall adjacent to the Ring Road offering an opportunity for many more to start to see what's already been done inside.Certainly this attracted alot of interest over lunchtime and I saw some 'interesting' people standing on the footbridge clicking away merily before having choked enough on the dust, leaving via the other side!

"Inside is becoming a little messy - you remember the accumulator? "Do you have a pic of the place after it closed down?
