I've thought hard about this and it is so tempting to have them, but I've expressed a similar opnion to yours too - it would be far better for something like this to be freely available to people - and at the same time it's only fair that Billy should be able to realise their financial worth - even if that's just because he has themNot sure about copyright here Brunel, 'Old Maps' for instance still carry a restriction referring to the OS. (Is anyone else finding it's very slow uploading messages to the site this weekend?)

Hi and thanks for all the replies, I have had several enquiries since i posted about maps, a guy is coming to value them for me so I'm not selling just yet. He is not buying them so I will have them in my possession for a while, if anyone wants me to mail them a scanned image of one of the maps I will do. I have images of most of the Leeds town centre, dont know if they are too big to mail but could crop and send bit you wanted, ie certain yard or street. If anyone fancies tekkin a peep at some I would be prepared to meet at nice pub, say Gardeners on Hunslet Moor near Miggy Raiway, you want to see the cellar in there, all vaulted ceilings, very very old, especially the little cottage attached which looks like part of the pub but was a house in its own right originally, poss about 300 years plus ago. Anyway let me know if any you guys want to see a particular feature and I'll do my best.

I've got a feeling that the area between the Corn Excahnge and Kirkgate might prove popular Billy, in particular, Crown Court if you have that.

As I say I'd be happy to help in a consortium or help out with lost value if they are donated to a central point????Thoughts? agreed Yes. I think Billy is wisely getting a propper valuation shortly - only fair. In the mean time, we might just see Crown Court and surrounds from another angle so to speak.

Only hope there's useful info!
