Looking for Eric

Quite amused to see Ken Loaches new film has taken the title of a book written by a Leeds fan who was tracking down Eric Cantona for an interview for his bookhttp://www.mightyleeds.co.uk/books/lookingforeric.htmThough the plot of Loaches film is different,it is nontheless a quest of someone looking to find,and speak with Cantona.I wonder why Ken changed the fan looking for Eric to a Man Utd fan?

Probably because he wasn’t at Elland Rd long and was off-loaded PDQ. By all accounts his attitude was typically French.

I don't think looking for a bgger audience is a crime. 40 years ago the two teams playing in the match in Kes were Man U and Spurs, not Barnsley and Rotherham. I guess he's not a Leeds fan, if I were making films I'd include Leeds if I could.
