Here's an extremely short-lived Bramley pub. It was originally the social club of Bramley R.L.F.C. at McLaren Field. When that closed it became a pub called 'The Villager' -( the 'Villagers' had been Bramley R.L.F.C's nickname). The pub didn't last long - it closed about 5 years ago and is now a nursery'currently being refurbished.

The Pack Horse was near the Parkinson Building and the sooty tatty horse only had three legs for many years. I don't know if it still exists as I don't live that side of Leeds any more. I meant the Pack Horse on Briggate - the Pack Horse on Woodhouse Lane is still there - had a pint in it about 2 hours ago.. Isn't there another Pack Horse on Gelderd Road, about half way betwixt the Ring Road and the Ring Factory?

That's another one I'd forgotten about.Late 80's last time I was in, it took a bit of finding, hidden in a maze of streets on a newish housing estate.

Not quite THAT old Simon, but Drapesy's pic took me back! :-)Thanks for finding that Drapesy lad. Remember that row right well. And thanks too, for bringing back memories of Duttons ale. OMG how time flies!

You can take the lad out of Leeds - but you can't take the Leeds out of the lad.

I suspect it was either the duke of York, The Pheasant, or the Mulberry Tree

The William IV on Lower Wortley Road. This looks a real old gem - quite an old building and quite a survival. I dont think its been closed long - let's hope someone saves it.I decided to have a scout round the back and got quite a surprise.....

I wasn't expecting this!!!!Obviously the brick frontage is newer - this is a really old stone building - and that sign looks really old too.
