This one is not very good, but it is of the other alleyway.I was quite lucky as when I went there after 6 today as the gat was unlocked so I was able to get in and take a close up. this one not so lucky. It'd be great if anyone had any ideas as to why they are there especially as this is not th eoriginal Stock Exchange building....

I wonder if the names were added with the advent of the Bar?

Might it be the case that the original artefacts from the Stock Exchange were preserved and utilised around these buildings?

Those lamps are modern(15 years old max) or I'm a Dutchman (which I'm not)
there are 10 types of people in the world. Those that understand ternary, those that don't and those that think this a joke about the binary system.

hmmm, I never remember there being a bar or anything there called the Stock Exchange. They have a feel for modern lamps but a mystery as to why they are there. Only the conservatory bar is there and I'm not aware of that ever being called anything else. Does anyone know what was there before the Conservatory bar?

I thought there was a bar called the Stock Exchange, and I would have said it's what is now the Conservatory.Ah yes, dig down a few pages in a Google search and this link http://www.geckogo.com/Nightlife/United ... -Exchange/ refers to a club there.Dig down a bit further and the site of the Bath & County Club points to Three Albion Place http://www.3albionplace.com/ as a reciprocal club, which would suggest that it's a gentleman's or private club of a dining nature. Could that be it?

I'm guessing that the lamps are either there because they represent a link to the old Stock Exchange, or because the club called itself the Stock Exchange and the London Stock Exchange got a bit stroppy about it, as it is wont to do.
