'Lanes' - do you know how many there are..Yes, but narrow it down to a Lane that had trams running along it.Not so many now, is there? I have to admit, that having driven, walked and cycled along this Lane, I have never noticed them till pointed out to me.To parody a phrase, another "Secret Leeds"

Must be Street Lane surely, and Princes AvenueCorrect Busman Blakey.Princes Ave, adjacent to the now disused lavs.Approx. 9 more on Street Ln.They are being worn away and the road surface collapsing around them by the heavy traffic flow, would like to see them lifted and preserved.

(co/BLAKEY)Nice old picture here - Street Lane near Moortown Corner, with Horsfield tram heading for Roundhay/Harehills/City, and a brand new Leyland PD3 about to serve Chapeltown on its way south.There appears to be one of these "earthing grates" in the bottom left of the picture between the rails. Ta'dah its a blinding pic that mate side by side serving the public
