Sorry Chrism, after all the guff that’s been in the papers and on the TV for the past week I have to get this off of my chest so please don’t take it as a personal attack but…….What is it with all the supposed “funny” pics from Street View? [and here I’m going to cite the pics that you’ve used] As a prime example, the pic of the person wearing a pink & while hooped top striking a daft pose. [Wally wore red /white] While this was captured in Putney, it could have been any high street anywhere in the country. I doubt that that top was a one-off, hand woven to order, garment and that quite a few were produced. The fact that the person has seen a car with Google plastered all over it and with a huge mast topped by a big ball of cameras made it a prime target to strike a pose in front of. As for the guy peeing. Have a look around and see how many people are looking at the camera [and how many are giving it the finger]. Have you ever been into town [any town] and seen the stains / smelled the smell? Public urination is not so rare that it’s not going to be captured somewhere. All this fuss reminds me of the rubbish keyhole tags that appeared on Google Earth when that kicked off. “Plane in flight” being the most common one. Looking out of my window, now, I can see two of the bloody things. A strangely common occurrence. The sooner we either get used to the damn thing or it gets pulled, whichever is the sooner, the better! Now that I’ve gotten that of my chest, I noticed that the pictures of my late parents house were taken just after my mother had died and we were clearing the house. That was May 2006, so some of them, like those of Google Earth and Microsoft Live Search Maps are getting on a bit.My Local Authority, Camden Council, had something similar back in 2007 but pulled it after complaints [from three Guardian Readers in Kentish Town] and a campaign by the local a**e w**e newspaper [Camden New Journal] that it was an infringement of Human Rights. What most people in Camden don’t realise is that it’s still available on the Camden Planning Portal. Ha!

There are only 10 types of people in the world -those who understand binary, and those that don't.
