I'll hazard a guess as to the actress-at the risk of having to smoke a "virtual" cigar-Diana Coupland.

I don't think it's been mentioned yet.I think it was still open in the mid / late 80's although it was boarded up for a long time before eventually falling prey to the developers bulldozers. I remember the Crystal Palace Ravey Davey - it was just down the road from the Commercial, owned by Peter Lorimer(other side of the road) - there was a strange block of Flats on Sweet Street too, a bit like a mini Leek Street, I remember seeing them derelict and very forbidding. Doesn't seem to be anything on Leodis though!

My partner knew the daughter of the last owner at school in Armley - she can't remember their surname though! It was on the corner of Scarborough Street and Armley road Good work drapesy! I believe the landlord at the time of closure was Tony Nelson and then I think he took over The George IV. Thanks Stevief - she's remembered now!!! his daughter was Carole Nelson.

Does anyone remember a pub near the bottom of Roundhay Road - on the corner of Barrack street. I've been in it- it didn't close that long ago (10 years maybe) then stood derelict for many years - demolished now.I think it was the Prince Arthur , or just Arthur- but might have been Prince Albert - can't remember!

I've had a pint in this pub, (and I think it must have closed/been demolished in the late80s or early 90s so you probably do) - it was called the 'Plasterer's Arms' Just found this pic of the 'Plasterer's Arms on Leodis:

When I was a callow youth, it was called Hollywood Babes, and used to be a calling in point for lads nights out after a pint of Ayingerbrau in the Duncan opposite. We were a classy group!!

Too big to fit in the frame! What's the one in the last post drapesy? Looks very familiar, but I can't place it. This is like 'What and where'!!!Is it the Fearnville?or the Barnlea? Fearnlea on the Tong estate in Farnley? I used to live round the corner (Tong drive) and i've got to say this was a particularly scummy place.
