I was also wrong in that the floor of the Atrium is above the retail units so the office workers won't be looking down on shoppers. Oh dear, apologies again folks - more egg on my face as I've got the wrong word too -yes, atrium not arboretum and no problem with trees
There's nothing like keeping the past alive - it makes us relieved to reflect that any bad times have gone, and happy to relive all the joyful and fascinating experiences of our own and other folks' earlier days.

Its own website isn't very forthcoming but there is one artists impression of somewhere in the middle (view plan/cgi) and an overlay of artist impression on aerial photo (100% prime) plus an outline map (the scheme)http://www.trinityleeds.com/

As if we need any more mini supermarkets, there's one two minutes away up towards Morrisons and then Morrisons itself! Anyone else know what else is going in there? Or is Argos, TK Maxx and Sainsbury's everything? Funnily enough (and risking veering off-topic), when Morrisons bought Safeway, they were forced by the Competition Commision to close the Safeway store in the city centre as it was "too close" to the Merrion Centre store and this was apparently bad for competition.Yet Sainsbury's now have two stores within a few hundred yards of each other and Tescos have three in / around the city centre (one of which is the former Safeway....). Not sure how that works?I agree it's a crying shame about the internal state of the former Lewis's, but retail tenants want a simple box into which they can drop one of their identikit stores, so the developer / landlord gives them what they want to make the most money they can. This is esepecially so when there is nothing to stop them.

Not sure how that works? The competition commission ruled on safeways because it was a takeover. LCC might have had to rubberstamp Sainsbury's at Broadstreet but not the CC. Perhaps the fact LCC have a plentiful supply of brown envelopes Tesco in the old Safeways and at the Armouries/Clarence Dock but I can't think where else. Are Asda missing out? They don't do convenience stores do they and with the exception of a small Morrisons supermarket the other 4 or 5 are convenience stores rather than supermarkets, aren't they?

It is towards the Grove Pub.
