I wouldn't leave them alone with a wax crayon. It beggers belief! A "mistake?" This comment insults the public's intelligence.Sack 'em! Now!!!

I agree Si,i don't know about you but if i worked for Glendale and i was asked to cut the 'grass' after a snow storm i would be seriously thinking that it must be some kind of joke similar to the 'long stand' and 'bucket of steam' type of jest played on new employees lol.Come on Glendale for Christ sake did not one of you Question your bosses over this???It really does begger belief!I actually did see the two large tractors of theres driving up the road outside our house but i was under the impression they had been put on snow shifting duty or something, never in my wildest dreams did i think they would be cutting the freaking grass? mind you this is Glendale we are talking about lol

Exactly, Brandy.A particular pointer to the weird world in which we now live is the fact that they had a "health and safety" meeting before sending them out to cut the grass.....er, sorry, turn the verges into the Somme.Does anyone know of anyone who cut their own lawn on Thursday?I thought not...

I haven't cut my grass since early October and won't be cutting it again until late March or April at the earliest because it hardly grows at all in that period. There are other Garden tasks that need doing in that period but maybe Glendale aren't contracted to do those (fortunately?)

i was chatting to one of glendales staff about 4 weeks ago, he came into the shop where i work. he was a nice guy,he did know things about gardening, paving ect, but because how things are,he had to work for glendale,it was the only job he could get.his team was laid off due to lack of work, he got one weeks notice. i told him about our site maybe he will come on here and tell a few storys, i hope he does.i suppose in this credit crunch all the blame is not the workmens fault they just do as they are told, otherwise they end up like him on the dole.

I suppose Brandy, it's like most organisations, they all have their percentage of 'could do betters' but Glendale do seem to perhaps have more than average and it is they and their actions which stand out - but the management seems to be more paper-based than hands-on and we all no how that which is a pile of manure can become a bed of roses with reverse Chinese Wispers between those who never venture outside to see the real world!
