Sounds right. It will be very interesting to see how things work out when it opens.
Ravioli, ravioli followed by ravioli. I happen to like ravioli.

And tyke bhoy said:'The ring is completed by Leeds Inner Ring Road (stage)7 which supposedly completes the inner ring road by linking LIRR6 (the Woodpecker to South Accommodation Road via Marsh Lane section) to the M621 by means of the John Smeaton viaduct and refurbishments to Junction 4 of the M621. From Junction 4 of the M621 you can then travel South West to Junction 2 (Elland Road) and then join Ingram Road Distributor to the Gyratory and completing the loop via the A58/A58(M)/A64(M) back to the Woodpecker junction. Courtesy of driving on the left the reverse of this loop in an anti-clockwise direction is shorter and easier'Which confirms what I said yesterday - travelling east bound on the A58/A64 is now at a snales pace when anything more than 'quiet' with so much more traffic trying to leave at the Woodpecker to reach South Accommodation Road. Much of this does seem to be extra traffic, little sign of any reduction continuing outwards after there on the York Road. Can't help thinking the Woodpecker end needed more thought. And yes Parksider - got me going round in circles (or is that Rings?) too!

Is the eastbound exit at the Woodpecker still restricted to one lane? For as long as I can remember one side or the other has had scaffolding up in the underpass! Two lanes would help and more thought yes.More thought at the other end of LIRR7 might not have gone amiss too. The purpose of LIRR7 was supposedly to complete the ring but other than the viaduct the "landmark" achievement seems to be the totally new M621 junction 4 onslip south/east bound which is hardly used. The existing junction 4 South/West on slip (part of the ring) was desperately in need of improvement as this crosses the Junction 3 off slip.

Yes Rangie I meant Colton and not just as far as Halton in my original. Presumably the "B whatever" terminates at M1 junction 46 where Selby Road becomes the A63 again.

If I could get down it this side of Christmas I'd tell you! No I'm not sure, but the queue to exit there usually reached back to the slip road to the exit, quite noticable now that it extends back to the North Street entrance and further, far more cars than there used to be, even joining the Road at West Street is a much longer job than it was just a few weeks ago. I'm convinced more people are using this route to the motor way to try to avoid the perpetual hold-ups further down stream. Be this so, the result on the Motorways will still be the same volume ultimately, but the cogetsion of those trying to reach it has simply been made more widespread I think.
