150 years old today!150 years ago this very day, Queen Victoria officially opened the building of which we should all be proud. Probably the finest example of neo-classical civic architecture in the world. Raise a glass to Cuthbert Brodrick & Leeds Town Hall today!

Hi Munki - I'm told by the author that the book you have mentioned,'Around Leeds: a City Centre Reinvented', isn't available from main-stream outlets but can be obtained from reception in th LU School of Geography and the City Station Visitor Centre. It should also be obtainable from Borders in a couple of weeks.Aren't you going to get rather fit it's you doing multiple visits up the clock tower? (Or maybe, fit to drop!).

I'm not doing any trips up the Clocktower today... I am getting old & jaded now & prefer to go up there on my own. Haha.
