Does anyone remember these buildings on White Horse Street just off Boar Lane. They housed dress manufacturers and toy stockists and offices I think. My aunt and uncle were caretakers there in the late sixties and early seventies and lived on the top floor in a flat which was a partitioned off area of one of the warehouses. It was weird. You'd go up in the lift and walk through a business environment and then through a door and you were in somone's hall with bedrooms and kitchens off. I believe that the Jumbo Chinese restaurant was also adjacent at one time.

Re. White Horse Buildings.C & A had a distribution warehouse on the ground floor. the goods were moved to the shop on Boar Ln. on a large electric vehicle, similar to the milk floats used by the Co-op.Also a tailoring factory on the third floor. And the caretaker was Mr. Sparling? Sparling's son Brian? worked in the building, a TV repair workshop also on the third floor.
