Leeds lost pubs

In Dewsbury there's the West Riding Refreshment Rooms, in most towns round here there are some decent pubs selling decent ale. My favourite in Leeds is the Palace. But not in central Morley. I've lived here all my life and for most of the adult part it's always been the case. Why?

Was that the new pub they built on the Ebor Gardens Estate in the early sixties looking out onto York Rd....further down from the Cinema, had about four tower blocks of flats behind it... to replace the old Vic with the marble facade..

Who Knows,Its just the case that Morley has not got a decent pub really,i mainly go into Leeds city centre if going out for the night,but i too have lived in Morley all my life and the last time i went round Locally for a few drinks the Halfway house and the Miners arms seem the only two half decent pubs in Morley the rest was seemed to be just full of chavs downing their watered down stella.
