I can't say i've tried to follow it on google earth tho! Thanks Phill. I was only asking because if it starts around Otley, I would've expected it to run into the River Wharfe. I couldn't work out how it could get up-hill from Otley over the Chevin to join the Meanwood Beck! The O.S. map shows it starting in a field near Old Bramhope, then running through Golden Acre Park and Adel Dam, then under the Seven Arches and under the Ring Road, to become Meanwood Beck.CheersDave

I just maybe add a touch contrast, sharpness on the bog standard piccaso photo editor. nothing major tho! After thought here!Do you mean the Victorian cell shots? Those were done a while ago. We turned the lights off and painted the walls with torches for that effect. Was thinking of the 7 o'clock shot of the TH - different bits look as though they shouldn't be possible with one shot! Just like the effects my son showed me he could get, 'cept you seem to have it built into your shutter finger!

You've got a rare talent there. Love the depth of colour and the perspectives you've used in some of those shots. Although you must be bonkers to go up that ladder....

Whoa.. well thanks for that mate.. Great compliments indeed. I'm flattered. Those ladders were terrible, despite how the shots look, it was actually pitch black up there. If i'd have been able to see how they were held up, i'd not have climbed them. Well scary!

Reminds me of some years ago Phill, when I was asked to illuminate the inside of a church tower with flood lights for its centenary.Spiral stone steps to landing one. Long single span wooden ladder to number two and afurther longer, old, wooden ladder to number three, this one just reaching the access hatch to the tower platform (you know how wooden ladders bend alot....) and with just a few rungs missing, but there you go.Job done, was talking to El Vicar a couple of days later, I asked how they ever got the ladders up there. 'Not a problem' he said. 'they just put them in and built round them'!! Didn't go back up for afters!

Nice one! :-)Been up there reminded me off the dads army episode were the German parachutist lands on the town hall clock, and stupid boy Pikey cut the rope holding the ladders up! There was lots of shouts of 'WERE MAROONED' DOOMED and DON'T PANIC Mr Manwaring! lol. those were the days

Well maybe this is another mystery for the secret Leedsers. Otley can be found as a quote on certain web sites, you can trace it to Bramhope. I remembered B.B.C leeds putting some of my pictures on there site. Well i thought yeah ok.. I didn't know they would be getting the city engineer to do an interview and talk about them.. OOPS!!Anyway it's David Sellars who wrote Hidden Beneath Our Feet: Story of Sewerage. He says it originates from Golden Acre park?? You need Real player for this one,http://www.bbc.co.uk/leeds/realmedia/hi ... lverts.ram
