I was thinking it may have been the original drawings for the Bank of England,on the corner of Park row and the Headrow, which is now the sports bar.what puts me off this is the triangular roof of the building to the pictures right hand side,it looks similar to the roof of the old central station.

It's not the Old Central Station Hotel is it? Great North Eastern or whatever it was called opposite Britannia Street?

The lie of the land could also suggest original plans or a predecessor of what is now Loch Fyne and The Restaurant previously Central Post Office in City Square viewed from somewhere on Park Row close to the top of the grounds of Mill Hill Chapel. That would put the chimney in the approximate vicinity of where the current YEP building is.Also could it be a mirror image bookend to the original Queens, built or not, roughly where the right end of the current Queens is. The continuation to the right being Wellington street and the gap down the right end leading down to what is now whitehall road. That would put the chimney in the vicinity of the gyratory in Holbeck/Wortley. The additional building down the left suggests not as that would be over the railway lines I think

I'm no expert on Leeds's old buildings, but going by the slope and the building next door I wondered if it could have been on the Headrow - the building next door looks like the former entrance to - erm was it Upper Fontane street?

The chest clinic. I am only saying that because it's on a slope. I realise that it looks nothing like that but I'm hoping to be told where it is because this has gone on a while and I'm impatient
