I think it's time we did this I was just thinking about this the other day and it's just come back to me now. Two I can remember off the top of my head are the one in Headingley in the garden of the house opposite the bear pit which is an original Leeds Zoo fixture and the one in Park Square which is now a flower bed. Did something happen in the 80's/early 90's involving someone drowning in a fountain or something as it seems as though many were quickly filled in around this time. Personally I like fountains and think they are great to see.

there were two in harehills park,one near the long gone downstairs toilets and the other on the opposite side near the cemetery fence.
i do believe,induced by potent circumstances,that thou art' mine enemy?

There used to be one in the Lands Lane precinct, but it seemed to be full of suds most weekends when I saw it ...

There was one at Yeadon, apparently, hence the Fountain chippy.

There's a few fountain pics if you search on Leodis (hidden amongst too many pictures of 'Fountain Street'!)

Yeah seem to remember the regular saturday afternoon stand off between the NF and whoever else around the fountain area.Used to get a load of Jesus botherers as well.
