Very sorry to hear this. A valued contributor to the site, and a very pleasant man. Met him several times when SL had annual get-togethers at the Adelphi. RIP.

Sad news. I had noticed he had not contributed for some while now so had wondered about him. Whenever I saw new posts by him I always looked forward to reading them.

RIP Blakey like Jim i met him at the s/l get together he was a nice guy.
No matter were i end my days im an Hunslet lad with Hunslet ways.

My sentiments as above, I met him twice and found him knowledgable and a very gentle person, that great depth of knowledge and experience now sadly lost.
