Secret Leeds must be approaching its first birthday before very long which will mark an achievment for everyone who has contributed and not least, is a credit to those who devised the site and tend our needs.I am sure that this site will continue to grow as it does, pulling together history, memories, snippets of information often long forgotten and for many, things not even known. The sheer diversity of the contributors is a prime factor in making the site quite unique, everyone with their own perspective, their own view and always something new to share. There is no doubt in my mind that the contents of this site will be viewed and reviewed as a valuable reference to the often forgotten side of our City, the things which the History books don't always include, but equally important in helping us understand our heritage, together with the more obvious topics, as well as giving some insight to the people who lived here. I thought I new my City and its History well - I was wrong, and there must be so much more yet to be revealed. One small apprehension for our Admin friends - at the bottom of each thread one can select to view messages posted over a period of time - a week, a month or a year...... I do hope there will be some small software fix to ensure those threads and messages older than a year will not be lost, but remain readily available and easy to find for contributors both old and especially those yet to discover Secret Leeds.

Thanks very much for your kind words, Chameleon. The website went live on February 20th 2007. What do people think we should do for the birthday?
