Little London is perceived as a less than salubrious area, whereas Sheepscar may be seen as an area of business redevelopement, so that might account for the fiction.

It's good that the horse is not going far away and was not simply melted down.

The site where the horse was looks bare now, as seen in this photo that I took on December 10 2015.

It's a good job I checked before posting as I had typed 'bear' not 'bare'! I guess I my mind was thinking of animals .

There is also another virtually unknown sculpture next to where the Pig and Whistle used to be at the rear side of the Merrion Centre, where the subway used to be that had the outdoor escalators. The sculpture is called 'Androgyne' and it was made by Glenn Hellman. unless something is done to regulate the trade in scrap.

Anyone have any idea what’s happened to Androgyne?

Seems to have disappeared since the remodelling and extension of that part of the Merrion Centre.

Slightly off of the subject but we went to see this "War Horse" at a Theatre in Bristol and as most people will know this is a full size puppetry Horse,the Scene is World War One and Horses in England were seconded into the War and a Boy being separated from his Horse and determined to be reunited which his beloved animal in War Torn France.The whole thing is set to Music and Movement , lasts for approx. 2.5 Hrs.
At the end of the Performance the Whole audience rose to their feet (ourselves inc) and applauded this continued for what seemed a log long time. There were lots of the younger generation just as enthusiastically
If You get a chance to see this, don't miss it.
Take plenty of Tissues and Kleenex.
