I’ve come across the Norwegian Meteorological Institute (Meteorologisk Institutt) website that has weather forecasts for places not just in Norway. It's an interesting site that on searching for Leeds for example brings up some surprisingly specific places (be sure to get the right Leeds as there are several). This is the link to the City and Borough of Leeds, England (United Kingdom) section:- http://www.yr.no/place/United_Kingdom/E ... _of_Leeds/
Leeds Airport is listed and some of the surprising sites include:- Leeds Pharmaceutical Store: Category: hospital. Leeds Chest Clinic: Category: hospital! Local(ish) webcam scenes may be shown, though they do not update that often and the times given are in advance of our current local GMT (it all adds to the fun!).
I see from the website that it is currently very cold at 'Leeds and the Thousand Islands' in Ontario, Canada!

Try the meteoblue website for even more detailed forecasting, including specific local areas (eg Kirkstall, Bramley etc).

Hi jim
.
I knew that more specific locations weather forecasts are available than just from the Norwegian site but I started this thread more in fun because it was so surprising to find that the Norwegian Meteorological Institute provided a weather service that covered other areas of the world.
