Low Hall Mills on Low Hall Place, Holbeck.

During a walk around on October 27 2015 I came across the derelict looking Low Hall Mills on Low Hall Place, off Holbeck Lane, so I took these photos. Two show the building and one is a close-up of its 1874 dated archway.

There seems to be little readily available information about the building but there are 2 photos of it (dated July 2012) in Leodis. In information with them it states "The buildings date from 1874 and there is a datestone above the arched entrance to this effect. The Post Office Directory dating from 1882 lists Low Hall Mills as the premises of woollen and union cloth manufacturer, John Whitehead...In recent times the mills had been occupied by S.P.M. (Selby Plumber's Merchants Ltd.)". These are the links to the Leodis photos:-

The building is one of several sadly derelict looking buildings in the nearby area. I wonder if anyone knows any more information about Low Hall Mills?

The Korte car has lovely old-charm character. I wonder if any have survived?
