I remember that Wetherby 10 miler course, the U-turn was just about at Long Marston. It was often a bit dodgy because just over the brow of a rise - motor car drivers did not have much time to see you.
I've ridden many a slow early season medium gear 10 miler on there.
I don't think there are any dead U-turn time trial courses any more.

I've ridden up to watch it a few times, but not been for about 2 years
I think Mandy Parker has a lot to do with it, she's also heavily involved with the 'Yorkshire Cyclo-Cross Association' too
