It's Pi(e) Day!

Post by Leodian »

It's time to celebrate by eating your favourite pie as it's the 'Pi Day of the Century' today :). In case you are wondering what I'm twittering on about it's 3 (March) 14 (20)15 today, so 3.1415 which are the first digits in the number pi and that combination only happens once a century (when using the date in m/d/y format). Mmmm I fancy a pork pie just now with tasty gel in it. Wonder where I should go for it? ;)

Darn-it! Almost makes me wish I didn't have a tricksy Japanese watch as it displays "15 3-14" as the date :( .
Happy Pi day all though! :)

Any excuse to crack open a Fray Bentos and a bottle of Dandelion and Burdock is ok with me.

Personally I never felt the need to memorise Pi to 4 decimal places so I can celebrate Pi day every year on March 14th or every day at 3:14.
It used to be said that the statue of the Black Prince had been placed in City Square , near the station, pointing South to tell all the southerners who've just got off the train to b****r off back down south!
