Where and what for
You are able to see that this is an old telegraph pole but where is it?
And where did it go to?
And where did it go to?

Looking at the top and bottom pictures on the left hand side do I detect a canal perhaps?

Re: Where and what for
I don't know where it is but I like this unusual W&W.
As an aside, telegraph seems such an old fashioned word. It has also made me think that telegrams are no longer sent but on checking they apparently still are in parts of the World. Also to my surprise I found that sales of old telegraph poles are common, being popular for example for use in gardens.
