The Town Hall Tavern has only become a Timmy Taylor's House in the very recent past, certainly over 12 months but probably not much more. No doubt you're right Tyke Bhoy - but the word Jimbo used was 'never' which my dictionary defines as "at no time, on no occasion, not ever" - which is obviously not the case with the Town Hall Tavern - it was Musgrave and Sagar for many years now it belongs to Timothy Taylor , who I believe took over Musgrave and Sagar's estate.
there are 10 types of people in the world. Those that understand ternary, those that don't and those that think this a joke about the binary system.

Last time i went up the brasses had gone and there was little in the way of real ale, that was early summer this year.Though i live in Beeston i liked to go there as it feels like its in the country, the surroundings and the decor/atmosphere.Seems to have changed though, will do another visit.

It's a shame about the Bankhouse. I used to go in there a lot 25 years ago. The ceiling was very low, so with all the copper and brass you had to watch yer 'ead. At Christmas, the landlord would go down Keeper Lane and cut loads of evergreen branches, and then hang them from the ceiling, too. You had to walk round bent double or stand there in your own little festive forest! I remember the beer at the time was Youngers. No. 3 or IPA.
