So, they're building an incinerator out of wood? Interesting.... That was exactly my first thought - what a very strange idea - is it a similar principle to the "unsinkable" Titanic " - a non inflammable wooden incinerator ??
There's nothing like keeping the past alive - it makes us relieved to reflect that any bad times have gone, and happy to relive all the joyful and fascinating experiences of our own and other folks' earlier days.

We passed the site of the wooden incinerator earlier today, and were shocked to see a Scumchester United flag flying from the erection. Clearly someone thinks they have a sense of humour, although really the joke is on them as that flag will hopefully be the first thing burned when construction is completed...Just along Pontefract Lane (A63) there is a lot of activity at the Yorkshire Water sewage works, as they prepare for the 'tallest structure in Leeds' to go up over the next few days.According to the YEP, the wind turbine they are erecting will be 123 metres tall (which is 12 metres taller than Bridgewater Place) and is set to dominate the city skyline: http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/n ... 76939Let's hope there is enough of the right sort of wind along there to keep it turning, but not so much that they have to switch it off for safety reasons. If all else fails, perhaps they can use it to blow out the fire when the wooden incinerator goes up..?

Some of you are so cynical. It may interest you to know that on a good day, with the wind constant and at just the right speed, over a twenty-four hour period, a wind turbine can generate almost enough current to run the red aircraft warning light on the top of it for almost three hours.
