The artist's impression shows a windowless wall with tiles and the iron girder from the viaduct, but I think it would be better with openable windows and something like a cafe so it isn't just a litter depository as it is now. New Station Rd is the main route to the some of the new shopping centres but it isn't the most attractive way to get there. New Station Road??? Do you mean Street - or as tykebhouy would probabvly call it, the taxi jam.

I took this photo of City House today (August 11 2014) looking from near Mill Hill across Bishopgate Street to the Neville Street tunnel. Though I've seen City House countless times I don't think I've ever realised before just how narrow it is (unless it's an illusion from the view point)!

I found this report in the Yorkshire Post from the end of May: http://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/business ... -1-6642220. Basically, all the hype from a couple of years ago was designed to drum up interest to get people to rent out office space in advance to pay for the refurbishments but with the continuing credit crunch people didn't bother, so nothing much happened. However Bruntwood now has more money (from selling a building in Mcr and from refinancing their debts) so they're going to start the refurb soon anyway and then see if anyone wants to rent it.Interestingly the report also says that Bruntwood wants to put up another building on the corner of Sovereign St and Swinegate. Hopefully office workers won't eat at Bibis Italianissimo next door: http://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle ... ant-review.

That is a beltingly good review of Bibi's. Laugh? I nearly cried. It certainly summed up my views of the place pretty much perfectly
