Given the timescales being discussed in this thread I think I might separate out this party from doing a press/PR launch at some point a bit sooner than October. That's assuming it doesn't take me till October to finish the new site, which isn't exactly beyond the realms of possibility I suppose!

Are there time constraints for the relaunch, surely more time to set up and resolve any issues with the new site would be a bonus? My suggestion for 17th Oct was just that, a suggestion

My suggestion for 17th Oct was just that, a suggestion I'd like to get it launched sooner rather than later as I've already been sitting on it far too long and there aren't too many things still to do. It will reduce site overheads as SL is currently hosted on a quite expensive dedicated server, whereas the new site can sit on our main server at Tyrell, which is paid for by the business anyway. So the sooner it gets done the better really. However, as I said I'm happy to separate out the PR launch from the party if necessary - though I might try to strong-arm a few of you to show your faces for a photo shoot at some point in that case
