Yes the library are keen to have us, seems prudent to wait until the new site is launched though. This would open us up to potentially new and large audience and enshrine the site for time to come. Thinking about the pictures, they do seem to be in the public domain, but I suppose if anyone can lay claim, any residual copyright will rest with the MoD

In fact if you want to go and check out that thread on the demo new site it's here: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4981 Using the login feature in the new site that was available through that link I found that I was unable to login using my current Secret Leeds login/password. I thought therefore that I may need to register but when I did that using my current details I got a message "The username you entered is already in use, please select an alternative. The entered e-mail address is already in use.".I assume that somebody else may have already taken my username (Leodian) but it's unlikely that they could have known my email address. I'm at a loss now what to do to in order to access the new site. Any help will be appreciated.

The passwords have all changed for security reasons Leodian, I'll email you privately if you would like access to the new demo site for testing purposes. Please note that the new site is still in testing and development, we haven't gone live with it yet!

Please note that the new site is still in testing and development, we haven't gone live with it yet! Thanks dsco. I had not realised that the new site was still under development so I assumed the link led to a live new Secret Leeds. Will I be able to use my current username when the new site goes live or will it be the case that someone else could beat me to it?

You'll still have your current username - all user accounts are being transferred to the new site as they are, along with all the existing threads, posts and images. The only thing that needs to change is your password, because for security reasons we can't access that through the site's backend - all passwords are encrypted in the site database. So we couldn't transfer those over with the rest of the data. When the new site launches I'll be sending out an email to each user with their new password and general info about the transfer, how to log in, change your new password to something private, and so on.If you would like access to the test version of the new site in the meantime, so you can provide feedback and suggest improvements prior to launch, please contact me via duncan@tyrell.mobi.Thanks!

I've just had a glance at the new site - that's terrific work there dsco! I don't post often (time pressures!) but I do read the threads so I do appreciate the work you have put into the migration. Really looking forward to the new site going fully live!
